Studio Sale

Everything you see on the website will be here to touch and try on in person. In addition, all of our tools and materials are here and available to develop custom solutions for you should you need them. So if you want a leather belt that wraps around your hips three times and then closes with a snap, we can make that for you or show you how to make it yourself!

NONI Bags
The Selection of Rare Noni bags now visible in the Prototype Shop will be available to look at and purchase in person.

Photographic Prints Sale
I will have a selection of some of my late husband - Bruce Falkinburg's photographs available for purchase - some framed, mostly unframed - at affordable prices. Come ready to look through digital and darkroom prints. See above for an example of Bruce's style. Prints range in size from 8x10 to 18 x 24

Jewelry Sale
All Shinshoji Collection jewelry will be on display and available to try on. Come ready to put together a personalized ensemble that works with your style and body.

Styling Clinic
If you need / want help developing a styling or re-imagination of an existing knitted, crocheted, or sewn garment or accessory, bring it with you to the Open House so we can help!

ZIG ZAG - Improvisational Knitting
Tutorial at 11am
Bring a smooth fingering or worsted yarn and needles in a size appropriate for your yarn and learn an improvisational technique to make shapes like the one pictured below.

Hand-sewing Jersey Fabric

Tutorial at 1pm
Bring some cotton or wool jersey fabric, or just t-shirts you don't wear anymore, a sewing needle you like, and a heavy-weight thread and learn and practice essential hand-sewing stitches for jersey fabrics.
Note about materials: Coats & Clarks makes a heavy-weight thread that is widely available at Craft stores. We will also have needles and thread for those of you who may never have thought about hand-sewing before. So if you don't have supplies and no time to collect them, come unprepared and we will take care of you!
