8.5 by 11 inch format, full color, with instructions on the back

This scarf is intended as a color experiment for knitters of any skill level. Because the Albers Scarf is intended to be a color improvisation, it is an interesting project despite the simplicity of the stitch pattern. The interest lies in the fact that you are changing colors all the time, making it up as you go along, trying colors next to each other that you might not otherwise put together. While you certainly can plan the colors ahead of time, I recommend an experimental approach.

The pattern takes worsted weight yarn worked on US10 needles

Material requirements are as follows:

Short Scarf (64 inches long and 6 inches wide): Approximately 360 yards total of worsted weight yarn & 8-10 JUL pedestal buttons

Long Scarf (10 feet long and 6 inches wide): Approximately 540 yards total of worsted weight yarn & 14-16 JUL pedestal buttons
