Tayma is named after a famous Oasis in Saudi Arabia in which there is an astonishing rock formation that, while natural, looks unnatural.  You can see it here:  http://unusualplaces.org/al-naslaa-rock-formation/

This neckpiece design was originally conceptualized in two parts, like the rock formation that can be viewed at the link above.  As the design evolved, however, the concept changed and Tayma became a single piece of knitting, in essence reflecting the original form of this remarkable and beautiful Tayma rock formation.

This project takes 1 skein each in three colors worked on US6 needles

FInished measurements: 16.5 inches on cast-on edge, 28 inches on bound-off edge, and 40 inches on straight edge.
